Congregational Board

The Congregational Board takes responsibility for financial and other material aspects of the church’s life. Being a registered charity, financial matters are ultimately held under the scrutiny of the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), but spending decisions are taken locally and in conjunction with the national Church of Scotland. The church buildings, some of which are now over a century old, need regular maintenance, both outside and in.

Meetings for 2009/10 are scheduled as follows:

• Wednesday 16 September 2009
• Wednesday 18 November 2009
• Wednesday 3 February 2010
• Wednesday 24 March (Stated Annual Meeting)
• Wednesday 28 April 2010
• Wednesday 16 June 2010

Anyone may attend these meetings but only appointed Elders and elected Members may vote. Every year there is a Stated Annual Meeting to which the whole congregation is invited and at which new Board members are elected.

Clerk to the Board is Mrs Judith Macleod. The Minister has delegated chairmanship in 2008-09 to Mr Eddie Adie. There are four standing committees – Finance and Stewardship, Facilities, Halls and the Socials Team.
