Resource Centre

The Centre is to be found in Crown Church, just off the upper hall and is open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 10am until 12 noon during school term. It holds a library of books, videos and music as well as a supply of craft materials. These resources are available to anyone who wishes to come and explore. We have something for everyone – Guild members, Sunday School teachers, the general public, youth organisations, elders and even ministers!

We also have Alpha course materials which can be lent out either through the centre or Colin Baillie.

Books, music and an overhead projector can be borrowed at no cost. Videos can be hired at a small charge and craft materials are available to purchase at competitive prices.

Our digital photocopier provides perfect copies, enlarges and reduces, copies on to card and acetates for overhead projectors from 4p per copy, and we have a colour copier (up to A4 size). There is also a guillotine and a laminator to give your notices a professional look.

Why not visit the centre soon? All are welcome.

From the March Newsletter

Thanks to a donation from Inverness Presbytery several new items have been added to our stock.  Threads, a DVD produced by the Church of Scotland, is an exciting resource telling the stories of ordinary people living out their lives as Christians in the world.   It is particularly suitable for small group discussions as it is divided into 20 minute episodes.

Update your repertoire of songs with our new music CDs and a DVD of action songs for children.
For youth groups we now have a praise dance mat which will challenge minds as well as bodies and for young ones we have Noah’s Ark building blocks.

Planning a Holiday Club? We have materials, including DVDs, for several Scripture Union programmes.

All of these items, as well as others, are available to borrow from the centre in Crown Church, which is open during term time on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 10am until 12 noon.

P. S. The Resource Centre is still looking for a Treasurer– a small but essential task. Enquiries to Eddie Adie who is currently holding the fort.

New volunteers to help run the Centre would also be welcome -Please drop in on a Thursday morning.                                    Dawn Cooper
