CNX@Crown

Pronounced ‘Connects at Crown’, this is a new Youth Club being run as a pilot project on Saturday evenings. There are two sessions - one from 6.30 until 8 pm for P7 and S1 pupils, and the second from 8.15 to 10 pm for S2 and S3 pupils. The club is run by professional paid staff from Youth Inclusive, under the direction of Drew Kuzma, and the aim of the pilot is to establish whether there is a demand for such a club, and to find out from the youth what kind of activities to offer. To date activities have included pool, table tennis, swingball, xbox, crafts, and various games in the hall. Cnx has seen a measure of success with regards to regular attendance over the last number of weeks and looks to hold a good deal of potential in meeting the social needs of youth in the Crown area.
