Update January 2017

"Young Crown" goes into 2017 on the back of busy times before Christmas, where both in schools and out in the community as well as in the church halls, large numbers of children and young people were engaged, not to mention  little bit excited!

Our involvement in the Toddler Groups continues to be appreciated. For primary-age children, the support of the SU group in Crown Primary, extensive chaplaincy work there and the running of "Energize" on a Thursday evening focuses much of the energy. Amongst secondary school ages, as well as school chaplaincy and volunteering opportunities alongside the younger children, the Friday drop-in at the local Academy and connections with the wider Christian youth scene in Inverness are very important.

Support within the life of the church is the third pillar of the work. Connections are being made to encourage the mixing of children with people of their grandparents' generation, for mutual learning and fun. The resourcing especially of the new 9.30 service is important alongside the longer-established work of "Treasure Seekers" at 11 am.
