Parents & Toddlers

The Kingsmills Toddler Group meet a couple of mornings per week in the Crown Church Hall, throughout the year. The group welcomes babies (from birth) through to toddlers (up to three years old) in attendance with their carer (a parent, grandparent, childminder, etc). For children, it is a playful environment offering stimulus and social interaction in these formative years. For carers it provides a weekly meeting place, friendship and a support network on an informal basis.

The hall is a large single volume, which allows the group to set up a range of activities. Typically a session is set up to include: unstructured play with toys of all varieties (toys, puzzles, toddle trucks, gym equipment); the provision of a snack and drink for the children, and coffee/tea for the adults; a planned short activity (craft, food, movement, etc); and concludes with a short musical session or sing-song.
